Somy Ali, Salman Khan’s former girlfriend, reacts to the firing incident outside his house: “We were shocked.”

Gunshots were fired outside Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments, located in Mumbai’s Bandra area, on April 14.

A month after the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence, his former girlfriend Somy Ali shared her reaction in a recent interview. She expressed her hope for Khan’s security and revealed that she was shocked when she first heard about the incident.

“Especially considering what Salman is currently going through, I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy. Regardless of everything, no one deserves to face what he’s been through. My prayers are with him. Regardless of past differences, I believe in letting bygones be bygones. I would never wish such an incident upon anyone, whether it’s Salman, Shah Rukh, or my neighbor,” Somy told Hindustan Times.

“Every individual deserves due process, law enforcement, evidence, and a fair judicial process, at least in America. I wouldn’t want Salman or his family to suffer any pain, and I wish him all the best. When my mother and I heard about this incident, we were shocked,” she continued, concluding that nobody should have to endure what Salman is going through right now.

Gunshots were fired outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area on April 14. Later, reports suggested that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was allegedly behind the attack, as the gangster’s brother, Anmol Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the shooting incident via a Facebook post a few hours after the firing.

So far, five individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. Earlier this month, one of the arrested individuals, Anuj Thapan, allegedly died by suicide while in Mumbai Police custody. While the police stated that Thapan took his own life in prison, his family alleged foul play and claimed that he was murdered.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s security has been beefed up. While the actor previously had two Personal Security Officers (PSOs), he now has two commandos, two escort vehicles, and 11 police personnel under the Y+ category security. Additionally, personnel in the security convoy will be equipped with two automatic guns.

It’s important to note that Salman Khan has not issued any statement regarding the firing incident. However, his father, Salim Khan, spoke to India Today about the incident, stating, “What’s there to talk about? These ignorant people who say they will kill you, then you will know. We have been provided with extra police protection. Mumbai Police has assured us of protection for us and our friends. If they have arrested two people today, it means they are on it.”
