Police arrested two people for shooting outside Salman Khan’s house in Mumbai.

Two suspects were arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch in connection to the shooting incident outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra.

Late on Monday night, the Mumbai Crime Branch apprehended two suspects in Bhuj, Gujarat, for allegedly firing outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra West on April 14.

According to Mumbai Police officials as reported by news agency ANI, the two suspects were apprehended late Monday night in Bhuj, Gujarat. The officials stated, “Both individuals, who escaped Mumbai following the shooting, have been detained in Bhuj, Gujarat.”

The police stated that the two detained individuals, identified as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal by Mumbai police, will be transported to Mumbai for further inquiry. The shooting incident outside Salman Khan’s apartment took place at 5 am on Sunday, involving two unidentified men who fired shots outside Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, where the actor lives. The perpetrators fled on a motorcycle, concealing their identities under helmets. Described by the Mumbai Crime Branch as a “carefully orchestrated assault,” CCTV footage captured one of the suspects firing towards Salman Khan’s residence.

During the incident, a total of four rounds were fired, and a live cartridge was found at the scene. Previously, the Mumbai Crime Branch had called in two individuals for interrogation regarding the shooting incident.

The prompt response of the Mumbai Police included deploying ten teams of the crime branch outside Galaxy Apartments.

Subsequent to the event, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde conversed with Salman Khan via phone concerning the occurrence. CM Shinde also conferred with the Mumbai Police Commissioner, proposing an enhancement of the actor’s security measures.

Following the incident, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol Bishnoi, asserted responsibility for the shooting via a social media post, cautioning the actor that it was merely the “prelude.” One of the suspects in the case was believed to be from Gurugram, allegedly linked to gangster Rohit Godara.

Accused of the March murder of Gurugram-based businessman Sachin Munjal, gangster Rohit Godara is based in the United States.

Since November 2022, Salman Khan’s security status has been raised to Y-Plus due to threats from gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar. Additionally, Khan has been granted permission to carry a personal firearm and has acquired a new armored vehicle to enhance his safety measures.
