Police suspect that Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh may have ‘planned’ his ‘disappearance’.

Gurucharan Singh (50), famous for portraying Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular TV show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ (TMKOC), has been ‘unreachable’ since April 22.

Television actor Gurucharan Singh (50), well-known for his cheerful portrayal of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular serial “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” (TMKOC), is suspected to have ‘planned’ his own disappearance and left Delhi, as per sources from the Delhi police, as reported by News18.

Singh has been missing since April 22, when he was last seen near Delhi Airport. He left his phone in the Palam area, making the police’s efforts to trace him more challenging.

According to police sources, CCTV footage showed Singh moving from one e-rickshaw to another, suggesting a pre-planned departure from Delhi.

Four days after his disappearance, Singh’s father filed a missing person report with the Delhi Police, prompting the filing of an FIR under Section 365 (abduction) on April 27.

Since then, Singh’s phone has remained unreachable. On April 28, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, President of the All Indian Cine Workers Association, urged Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena to expedite the investigation.

DCP South West Delhi, Rohit Meena, stated that a probe team has been assembled to investigate Singh’s disappearance. “Gurucharan’s family reported that he has been missing since April 22. He was supposed to travel to Mumbai, but he never arrived. We have registered a case under Section 365 of the IPC. We have formed a team to investigate the matter, and our technical team is also working on the case. We are reviewing CCTV footage where he is seen walking alone,” ANI quoted Meena as saying.

Gurucharan Singh’s portrayal of Sodhi in TMKOC endeared him to audiences.
