Actor Vijay Deverakonda announced that his upcoming film ‘Family Star,’ set to release on April 5, is dedicated to his father. He expressed his sentiments through a touching message on social media accompanied by nostalgic childhood photographs.

Actor Vijay Deverakonda, ahead of the release of his much-anticipated family drama ‘Family Star’ on Friday, April 5, poured his heart out in an emotional tribute to his father, Deverakonda Govardhan Rao, on social media. He lovingly referred to his father as his ‘first hero and best friend’. Alongside the heartfelt message, the actor shared precious childhood photographs.

In a touching video capturing Vijay’s cherished moments with his family, he conveyed a heartfelt message to his father, expressing gratitude and admiration. He stated, “My Family Star. Without you, I wouldn’t be where I am today. From my first steps as a baby, till every step I take today, I know you’re standing behind me and watching over me. You struggled, so I never have to. You sacrificed your happiness so that I could be happy. You are my first best friend. You are my first hero. You are my strength.”

Sharing the video on Instagram, Vijay expressed that he created ‘Family Star’ as a tribute to his father and to all those who are devoted to their families. His caption reflected his deep admiration for his father, stating, “My hero. My Star. Life is full of highs and lows 🙂 and I do not know what it holds in store. But I work every day to make you proud and happy. I love you my Superstar.”

He concluded by explaining the purpose behind ‘Family Star’, mentioning, “We made #FamilyStar to celebrate the stars in our lives, sharing with you a little flashback of the man who I made this movie for. Directed by Parasuram Petla, ‘Family Star’ features Mrunal Thakur alongside Vijay Deverakonda. The film, receiving a U/A certificate from the censor board, marks the second collaboration between Petla and Vijay after the 2018 hit ‘Geetha Govindam’.
