Sources reported that Noor Malabika Das’s neighbors alerted the police after detecting a foul odor emanating from her flat.
Actor Noor Malabika Das was discovered dead in her Mumbai apartment, police reported today. Authorities suspect that Das may have died by suicide. Das, who previously worked as an air hostess with Qatar Airways, had appeared alongside actor Kajol in the 2023 legal drama ‘The Trial’.
Her body was found in her Lokhandwala flat on Thursday. According to sources, neighbors had alerted the police after detecting a foul odor coming from her apartment. Upon arrival, the police forced open the door and found the 37-year-old actor’s body in an advanced state of decomposition.
The All Indian Cine Workers Association has urged Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis to carry out a comprehensive investigation into the suspected suicide of Noor Malabika Das. The association emphasized the necessity for the government to investigate the root causes behind the recurring tragedies within the Indian film industry. They stressed the importance of addressing these underlying issues to prevent further incidents of this nature.
