Shah Rukh Khan fondly refers to Virat Kohli as ‘Bollywood ka damaad’, saying, ‘I taught him the Pathaan…’

The Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, recently praised cricketer Virat Kohli, affectionately calling him ‘Bollywood ka damaad’. The megastar revealed that he got to know Virat closely when he was dating Anushka Sharma.

“I spent a lot of time with him, I just love him. We say that he is our son-in-law, he is our fraternity’s ‘daamad’. I have known him the most compared to other players. I have known Virat and Anushka for a long time, spent a lot of time with them. I know him since his dating period was going on and I was shooting the film with Anushka. So, he spent many days with us, and became very friendly,” said SRK while talking to Star Sports.

He added, “I taught him the dance steps of the title song from the movie ‘Pathaan’. I saw him during one of the India matches, trying to do the dance with Ravindra Jadeja. They were attempting the steps, but I was disappointed because they were doing it so poorly! I told them, ‘Let me teach you the steps so that next time, during the World Cup or other Championships, when you dance, at least you’ll call me and ask how to do it properly.'”

For those who may not know, Virat’s wife Anushka made her Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the movie “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” in 2008, directed by Aditya Chopra. The two actors later appeared together in “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” (2012), “Jab Harry Met Sejal” (2017), “Zero” (2018), and also “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” (2016).
