“Sara Ali Khan Annoyed by Actors Mimicking Her Style: ‘I Honestly Greet People That Way'”

“Sara Ali Khan Talks About Her Namaste Style; Upset When Other Actors Copy It.”

Sara Ali Khan, enjoying the success of two consecutive films, “Ae Watan Mere Watan” and “Murder Mubarak,” expressed in an interview with Rj Stutee on Aur Batao that it bothers her when she perceives other actors in the industry copying her. However, she finds comfort in knowing that her audience recognizes her unique style.

In the recent interview, Sara shared, “It used to bother me when I felt like I was being copied. For instance, the whole namaste thing—it’s not an act for me. I genuinely greet people that way, and suddenly it became a trend that every girl was adopting.” She mentioned that she’s no longer bothered by it as her audience recognizes her style. “In the past, seeing other girls wear Indian clothes at the airport with wet hair used to irritate me. But then I realized my audience knows it’s me. Now, it doesn’t bother me anymore. People even write, ‘Sara ko copy kar rahi hai’ (They are copying Sara), and I find it amusing. Now I’m like, ‘It’s okay, go ahead and do it too.'”

She added that she’s no longer bothered by it since her audience recognizes her style. “Previously, it used to irritate me when other girls wore Indian clothes at the airport with wet hair, mimicking my style. But then, I realized my fans know it’s me. It’s okay now; it doesn’t bother me anymore. People even say, ‘Sara ko copy kar rahi hai’ (They are copying Sara), and I find it amusing. Now I’m like, ‘Okay, it’s fine, you do it too.'”

In “Ae Watan Mere Watan,” Sara portrays the character of Usha, a woman operating a covert radio channel during the British Raj. The film also stars Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’Neil, and Anand Tiwari in significant roles. Emraan Hashmi makes a special appearance in the Kannan Iyer-directed movie as Indian independence movement activist Ram Manohar Lohia.
