Mihir Shah’s mother and two sisters were brought to Mumbai for questioning from Shahapur in Thane district. According to an official quoted by news agency PTI, they, along with 10 others, are currently being interrogated.

Kaveri Nakhwa dragged for 1.5 km

On the morning of July 7 in the Worli area of south-central Mumbai, Mihir Shah’s BMW allegedly collided with a two-wheeler from behind. This crash resulted in the death of 45-year-old Kaveri Nakhwa, who was riding pillion, while her husband Pradeep Nakhwa sustained injuries but survived.

Kaveri Nakhwa was dragged for approximately 1.5 km by the speeding car before Mihir Shah stopped, switched seats with his driver, Rajrishi Bidawat, and fled in another vehicle, according to Mumbai Police.

Mihir Shah escaped the scene in an auto rickshaw, leaving his car and driver behind in the Kala Nagar area. He then went to a woman’s residence in suburban Goregaon. The woman contacted Mihir Shah’s sister, who arrived in Goregaon and took both Mihir and his friend to her residence in Borivali, PTI reported.

The Shah family then decided to flee to a resort in Shahapur, Thane district, traveling in an Audi. Mihir Shah’s mother Meena, sisters Kinjal and Pooja, and two friends also stayed at the resort.

After identifying one of Mihir Shah’s friends, the Mumbai Police attempted to track his phone number, but the friend had turned off his mobile phone, according to an official.

When his friend turned on his mobile phone for 15 minutes, the Mumbai Police quickly tracked the mobile tower location and intercepted them.

Regarding Mihir’s movements before the accident, an official told PTI that after partying with friends at a bar in the Juhu area, he left with his driver for South Mumbai in the early hours.

He was seen driving the BMW car around 4:30 am in the Marine Drive area, with his driver Rajrushi Bidawat seated next to him. As the vehicle reached Worli, it struck a two-wheeler, resulting in the death of Kaveri Nakhwa.
