Janhvi Kapoor has officially acknowledged her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya, following her father, producer Boney Kapoor’s recent revelation about her romantic affairs.
After a period of speculation, Janhvi Kapoor has officially confirmed her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya. At a screening of her father Boney Kapoor’s latest production, Maidaan, in Mumbai, Janhvi wore a personalized necklace bearing her boyfriend’s nickname, “Shikhu.” Her choice of accessory sparked a flurry of excitement among fans, who admired her elegant all-white pantsuit ensemble. Janhvi graciously posed for photos with her father and brother Arjun Kapoor, capturing the attention of the paparazzi and admirers alike.
During an episode of Koffee With Karan earlier this year, Janhvi Kapoor inadvertently revealed her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya, nicknamed “Shiku,” as one of the three people on her speed-dial list. Although she quickly realized her slip-up, Janhvi has never been shy about expressing her affection for Shikhar. Her openness about their relationship was further affirmed when her father, film producer Boney Kapoor, confirmed their romance. However, it raised eyebrows when Janhvi didn’t publicly acknowledge Shikhar’s birthday on April 3, despite his sweet gesture of posting a loved-up photo of them on her birthday last month. In a recent interview, Boney Kapoor expressed his fondness for Shikhar, emphasizing his enduring presence in their lives, regardless of relationship status. Shikhar, the grandson of politician and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, reportedly had a serious relationship with Janhvi before they broke up, only to reconcile last year. Their frequent public appearances together, including posing with Boney Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, attest to the strength of their renewed bond.
Prior to attending the screening of ‘Maidaan’, Janhvi Kapoor posed for a photo with her father Boney Kapoor and actor-brother Arjun Kapoor. Arjun opted for an all-black ensemble for the occasion, while Boney Kapoor was spotted wearing a blue kurta.
During an episode of Karan Johar’s talk show, ‘Koffee With Karan’, last year, Janhvi referred to Shikhar Paharaiya as ‘Shiku’. When Karan inquired about the names of three people on her speed dial, Janhvi quickly responded, “Papa, Khushu, and Shiku.” However, she immediately realized her slip-up after mentioning Shikhar’s name.
Shikhar frequently expresses his affection for Janhvi on social media, notably commemorating her birthday in March with a photo of them together at the Eiffel Tower. However, Janhvi chose not to share a birthday message for him on April 3.
While Janhvi has now openly acknowledged her relationship with Shikhar, her father Boney Kapoor confirmed it during a recent interview with a news outlet. Reflecting on his feelings towards Shikhar, Boney expressed his admiration, stating, “I love him. In fact, there was a time a couple of years ago when Janhvi was not seeing him, but I still maintained a friendly relationship with him. I was convinced he could never be an ex. He’ll always be around. When someone is there for you in any capacity, whether it’s for me, Janhvi, or Arjun, he is supportive and friendly to all. So, I believe we’re fortunate to have someone like him in our lives.”
Boney Kapoor’s film ‘Maidaan’, featuring Ajay Devgn in the lead, is scheduled to hit theaters on April 11th.
