At the pre-release event of “Kalki 2898 AD” on Wednesday (June 19), Deepika Padukone, glowing as a mom-to-be, made a grand entrance in Mumbai. A viral video from the event captures her co-stars Prabhas and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan rushing to assist her off the stage. Prabhas quickly reaches out and helps her, prompting a playful tease from Amitabh Bachchan for beating him to it. Check out the video for yourself!
At the event, Deepika Padukone shared her thoughts on collaborating with director Nag Ashwin, describing it as a profound learning journey. She expressed, “It has been an amazing experience. As Mr. Bachchan mentioned, it’s an entirely new world. We underwent various phases of exploration to understand the essence of this film, and now, I believe the magic that Nagi envisioned is finally here for everyone to witness. We’ve uncovered this journey together, and it’s been an extraordinary experience both personally and professionally.”
The movie features Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani in prominent roles and is set in a dystopian future. Inspired by Hindu scriptures, the post-apocalyptic film is set in the year 2898 AD and directed by Nag Ashwin.
Currently, Deepika is gearing up for her role alongside Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming film “The Intern.”
