Orange Alert In Mumbai Today Ahead Of Anant Ambani's Wedding, With Heavy To Very Heavy Rain Predicted.

For the wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, Mumbai Police has implemented traffic restrictions in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) area.

The weather department has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall on Friday and Saturday. This prediction from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) coincides with the extravagant three-day wedding celebration of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.

An orange alert is issued for extremely severe weather conditions and can impact transport services, including rail, road, and air travel.

After four months of lavish pre-wedding celebrations, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will tie the knot at the Jio World Convention Center in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, on Friday evening. Following the wedding, the Ambanis will host receptions over the next three days.

Anant Ambani is the younger son of Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, and Nita Ambani.

Several companies in BKC have requested their employees to work remotely until July 15 due to heavy traffic restrictions in the area.

A star-studded lineup for the Ambani wedding

VIPs and global celebrities attending the wedding include Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe Kardashian, former UK Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, futurist Peter Diamandis, artist Jeff Koons, self-help coach Jay Shetty, former US Secretary of State John Kerry, and former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, among others. In addition, many top Bollywood stars are expected to be present.

Guests from the corporate world include HSBC Holdings plc Chairman Mark Tucker, Samsung Electronics Chairman Jay Lee, Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser, BP CEO Murray Auchincloss, GSK Plc’s Emma Walmsley, Lockheed Martin’s Jim Taiclet, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

A series of celebrations leading up to the big day

Mukesh and Nita Ambani have been hosting various events in Mumbai in the days leading up to the lavish wedding. Last week, pop icon Justin Bieber performed at the sangeet. In the past week, celebrations such as haldi, mehendi, and Gujarati ceremonies like Mosalu and Mameru have taken place.

The bride, Radhika Merchant, is the daughter of businessman Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant have reportedly been dating for a long time.
