Reports suggest that the parents of the late Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, widely known as Sidhu Moosewala, are expecting a new addition to their family in the near future.
According to sources cited by The Indian Express, Charan Kaur, the mother of Moosewala, is pregnant and is anticipated to give birth soon. Moosewala was their only child. His father is reportedly 60 years old, and his mother is 58. Despite the absence of any official announcement from Moosewala’s parents, Charan Kaur has refrained from public appearances for over six months now.
According to family sources cited by the national daily, the delivery is imminent.
Moosewala was tragically killed on May 29, 2022, by assailants while in his car in Jawaharke village, Mansa district, Punjab. The renowned singer had contested the Punjab Assembly elections earlier that year from the Mansa seat on a Congress ticket, but he lost to Vijay Singla of the Aam Aadmi Party, which secured a significant victory in the 2022 Punjab elections.
Reports indicate that approximately 31 individuals, including gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, have been implicated in Moosewala’s murder case, with investigating agencies having arrested 25 people thus far.
Regarded as one of the wealthiest Punjabi singers, Moosewala was known for writing and producing his own songs and had a substantial fan base, particularly among the youth. Following his untimely death, several of his songs have been released and garnered millions of views across various platforms, including YouTube.
Speculation arose about Moosewala’s father, Balkaur Singh, considering a run for the Bathinda seat in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. However, Singh clarified that even if he entered politics, nothing would alter.
Sidhu Moosewala entered the music scene in 2017 with his debut single “G Wagon.” Subsequently, he quickly gained recognition in the entertainment world and garnered affection and praise for his musical talents. Among his notable hits are “Legend,” “So High,” and “The Last Ride.”
