Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor participated in Ganpati Visarjan, continuing their family tradition. Ranbir’s next project is Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.
Ranbir Kapoor took part in Ganpati Visarjan, a tradition passed down from the late actor Rishi Kapoor, which Ranbir now upholds. He and his mother, Neetu Kapoor, were seen performing the rituals on Wednesday, September 11.
Ranbir was seen lifting the Lord Ganesha idol before it was taken for visarjan, a ritual in Hindu tradition symbolizing the end of a festival. Neetu Kapoor was seen directing the staff during the process. The mother-son duo prayed with folded hands as the idol was immersed. A fan commented, “Very very beautiful,” while others left heart emojis. One user also inquired, “Where’s Alia? Why is she never present?”
Ganpati Visarjan at RK Studios
The Ganpati Visarjan tradition was initiated by Raj Kapoor at RK Studios in 1952, alongside his father, Prithviraj Kapoor. The filmmaker-actor was renowned for celebrating all festivals at his studio with his family and crew. In addition to the Kapoor family, Salman Khan’s family is also known for their secular approach, celebrating all Indian festivals with relatives and friends.
