Filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan and director Sajid Khan’s mother, Menaka Irani, passed away on Friday. That evening, several celebrities visited the directors’ residence to pay their respects. Shilpa Shetty, Bhushan Kumar, and MC Stan were among those photographed at Farah and Sajid Khan’s home.
On July 12, Farah Khan posted a heartfelt birthday tribute to her mother. The caption read, “We all take our mothers for granted, especially me! This past month has made me realize just how much I love my mom, Menka. She has shown incredible strength and bravery, maintaining her sense of humor even after multiple surgeries.”
She added, “Happy birthday, Mom! Today is a good day to come back home. I can’t wait for you to get strong enough to start fighting with me again. I love you.”

Regarding her career, Farah Khan recently served as a judge on the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11. She also choreographed the song “Naina” for the film Crew, which stars Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon.
Farah Khan and her brother Sajid Khan’s mother passed away on Friday at the age of 79. This occurred just a few days after Farah disclosed in an Instagram post that her mother had undergone ‘multiple surgeries’.
Menaka underwent surgeries a few days ago. “This past month has made me realize just how much I love my mom, Menka. She’s been the strongest and bravest person I’ve ever seen, with her sense of humor intact even after multiple surgeries. Happy birthday, Mom! Today is a good day to come back home. I can’t wait for you to get strong enough to start fighting with me again. I love you,” Farah wrote on Instagram recently on her mother’s birthday.
