Nepal has experienced another significant plane crash. On Wednesday, a Saurya Airlines aircraft crashed during takeoff at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. The plane, which was bound for Pokhara, had 19 people on board, including the crew.
The accident happened around 11 AM, according to TIA spokesperson Premnath Thakur, as reported by the Nepali news website Kathmandu Post. Police and firefighters are conducting rescue operations at the crash site.The cause of the accident and the number of casualties remain unknown. So far, five bodies have been recovered from the crash site. The plane’s pilot, Captain Manish Shakya (37), has been rescued and transported to a hospital in Sinamangal.

According to South Asia Time, the plane skidded off the runway during takeoff and crashed, bursting into flames immediately. Firefighters and security personnel are on the scene to extinguish the fire and search for survivors.
