Sonakshi Sinha, who is preparing to marry her beau Zaheer Iqbal, once mentioned that her father, Shatrughan Sinha, never wants her to get married.
Reports that Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are getting married on June 23 have been making headlines for several days. While the couple has not commented, wedding bells are ringing loudly with confirmations from family and friends such as Poonam Dhillon, Yo Yo Honey Singh, and Daisy Shah. Fans are excited to see Sonakshi as a bride, although the actress previously mentioned that her father wouldn’t want her to marry.
In a 2021 interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sonakshi Sinha shared her family’s views on marriage. Her father, Shatrughan Sinha, apparently prefers that she remains unmarried. Sonakshi mentioned that her mother occasionally hints at marriage but quickly backs off after a look from her daughter. “If it were up to him (Shatrughan Sinha), he would never want me to get married. Mom sometimes drops hints that it’s time for me to marry, but one look from me and she quickly changes her mind (laughs),” Sonakshi said.

Sonakshi Sinha also expressed gratitude for her parents’ support, which has allowed her to focus on her successful career without pressure. “I’m glad they have given me the independence to decide for myself. They don’t pressure me with ‘shaadi karlo beta’ until I’m ready,” she added.
