Actor Pavail Gulati shares his excitement about collaborating with Shahid Kapoor on their upcoming action film, “Deva”.
Starring alongside his idol Shahid Kapoor in the action film “Deva” is extra special for Pavail Gulati, as it marks his first venture into the action genre. Known for his versatile performances in “Thappad” and “Dobaaraa”, Gulati is thrilled about this opportunity.
“Collaborating with Shahid has been an absolute delight,” says Gulati. “We’ve bonded over our shared interests, especially in fitness and health. It’s amazing to work with someone who not only shares similar passions but also brings immense dedication to the craft.”
Speaking about his bond with Shahid, Pavail Gulati shares, “Shahid has been incredibly kind to me on set. He’s been in the industry for so long. I was just a child when he made his debut with a romantic film. I still remember seeing the poster of that film and telling my mom, ‘Someday, I’m going to be there.’ He’s one of the many reasons I became an actor… Now, I’m so grateful to be working with him. It’s incredibly inspiring. I’m learning a lot from him. He’s been really generous to me. I’ve always been his fan, and now I hope we can be friends.”
In “Deva,” Gulati takes on the role of a cop, marking his first foray into the world of action.

“Action is quite challenging,” he shares. “It’s my first time doing something like this, and every moment on set has been a learning experience for me. Shooting action scenes is both fun and stressful. It requires a lot of rehearsal. I’m learning every day—where to look, how the camera captures the action. We have to perform differently. I hope to improve as it’s something I would love to explore further.”
