Last week, reports of “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” star Sodhi, formally known as Gurucharan Singh, going missing surfaced. He was last seen in Delhi.
Gurucharan Singh, known for his role as Sodhi in “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” went missing on April 22, causing concern among his family, co-stars, and fans. While the police investigation continues, a recent report suggests that the actor was about to get married and was facing financial struggles. This update follows earlier reports that Gurucharan was last seen in New Delhi.
According to India Today, the investigation revealed that Gurucharan “was soon to get married and was struggling with financial difficulties.” The report stated, “He left his home for the airport in Delhi, but never took the route.” It has also been disclosed that the actor, who portrayed Roshan Singh Sodhi, was spotted wandering the streets of Delhi with a backpack. Reportedly, he withdrew Rs 7000 from an ATM in Delhi before disappearing.
According to his phone’s last known location, Gurucharan Singh was in Delhi until April 24. His phone has been switched off since then, and he was last traced near his house in Palam.
On Friday, it was reported that Gurucharan’s father filed a missing complaint, stating, “My son Gurucharan Singh, aged 50 years, left at 8:30 am on 22nd April to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn’t reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home, and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable, and we had been searching for him, but now he has been missing.”

Sodhi’s close friend, Ms. Soni, spoke to Pinkvilla, revealing that the actor had been unwell for the past few days and had undergone several tests. She also mentioned that Sodhi hadn’t been eating properly before leaving for Delhi.
“Before leaving for Delhi, his blood pressure was high, and he had undergone several tests. He wasn’t eating much before he left for Delhi. I really hope and pray that he is fine and returns safely,” Ms. Soni said.
