Pankaj Tripathi’s sister and brother-in-law were involved in a car accident last Saturday. Tragically, his brother-in-law succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident.
Sarita Tiwari, sister of Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi, and her husband Rajesh Tiwari, also known as Munna Tiwari, were involved in a tragic road accident near GT Road in Nirsa around 4 PM last Saturday. Sadly, Rajesh Tiwari lost his life in the accident, while Sarita sustained serious injuries. She is currently undergoing treatment at the SNCU of Dhanbad Medical College Hospital.
Rajesh Tiwari and his wife Sarita Tiwari were traveling from Kamalpur in Gopalganj, Bihar, to Chittaranjan, West Bengal, when their high-speed car (WB44D-2899) crashed into a divider near Nirsa Market Chowk. The impact was severe, shattering the car and extensively damaging its front part. Following the accident, the police, assisted by locals, rescued both individuals from the wreckage and rushed them to Dhanbad Medical College Hospital. Unfortunately, Rajesh Tiwari was declared dead upon arrival by emergency doctors. Sarita Tiwari, after receiving emergency treatment, has been admitted to the surgical ICU and remains in critical condition.
Pankaj Tripathi’s brother-in-law, Rajesh Tiwari, was employed with the Indian Railways and stationed in Chittaranjan. Tragically, he was returning to Chittaranjan from his village when the accident occurred, leading to his untimely demise.
In August 2023, Pankaj Tripathi suffered the loss of his father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari, who passed away at the age of 99. An official statement from the family confirmed the news, stating that his last rites would be performed amongst close family members. Pankaj Tripathi was en route to his village in Gopalganj at the time.
Pankaj Tripathi, known for his roles in Netflix’s “Murder Mubarak,” as well as popular projects like “Sacred Games,” “Gangs of Wasseypur,” “Mirzapur,” “Criminal Justice,” “OMG 2,” “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl,” “Stree,” and “Bareilly Ki Barfi,” among others, mourned the loss of his father.
