Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, and their family spared no expense for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Over three days, the extravagant affair welcomed celebrity guests like Rihanna, Bill Gates, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and many more. However, it was the sheer opulence and splendor of the diverse venues, hosting various functions from March 1-3, that truly stole the spotlight, creating the ideal backdrop for the grand festivities.
According to a recent Daily Mail report, the pre-wedding celebrations organized by Nita and Mukesh Ambani amounted to a staggering £120 million (approximately ₹1260 crore). Notably, the catering contract, rumored to be worth around £20 million, was awarded to one of India’s top five-star hotel groups.
The inaugural day of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations, themed ‘An Evening in Everland’ on March 1, saw guests adorned in sophisticated cocktail attire. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra took to Instagram Stories to share a snapshot alongside renowned American floral designer Jeff Leatham, who masterminded the elaborate floral displays for the event. Jeff, famed for his collaborations with reality TV personality and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian and her family, crafted extravagant white, pink, and purple flower arrangements that captivated all in attendance.
March 2 saw the Ambanis hosting ‘A Walk on the Wildside’, a daytime event inspired by India’s wildlife, with ‘jungle fever’ as the dress code. Set amidst the Ambanis’ animal rescue center, Vantara, in Jamnagar, the decor featured art reflecting forests, birds, and animals, with peacock and jaguar motifs adorning chairs and furnishings. From carpets to walls, the surroundings were intricately detailed with elements of nature.
Later in the evening, guests were treated to ‘Mela Rouge’, a carnival inspired by the iconic Moulin Rouge. This extravagant event, undoubtedly the pinnacle of the Ambani celebrations, dazzled with yellow bulbs, chandeliers, and a striking red color palette. Adding to the drama and romance were magnificent large-scale red floral installations, enhancing the ambiance of the evening.
From mirrors adorning the ceilings to a sparkling golden and red carousel, the Ambanis spared no extravagance for their pre-wedding sangeet night themed ‘Mela Rouge’. Then, on March 3, the decor transformed for the ‘Maha Aarti’ with an Indian-inspired ambiance, highlighted by abundant white floral strings and radiant lighting.
