After the consecration ceremony, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to speak to a crowd of more than 7,000 individuals in Ayodhya.

Today, the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya will take place, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the rituals. Subsequently, the shrine will be accessible to the public a day later.
The “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony is set to commence at 12:20 p.m. and is expected to conclude by 1 p.m. Following this, Mr. Modi will address a gathering of over 7,000 attendees, including seers and prominent figures at the venue.
Although approximately 8,000 individuals have been invited, a select list of 506 A-listers, encompassing notable politicians, leading industrialists, top film stars, sportspersons, diplomats, judges, and high priests, will be present. To mark the occasion, the Central Government has granted a half-day off to all government employees, including those in Public Sector Banks. Several states have also followed suit, declaring a public holiday.
This consecration ceremony follows the first phase of the temple’s construction, made possible by a 2019 Supreme Court judgment on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit. The Hindu litigants contended that the Babri Mosque was built on the site of a temple marking the birthplace of Lord Ram. In 1992, the 16th-century mosque was demolished by “kar sevaks.”
