Speculation surrounding Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s potential marriage gained momentum following their trip to the Maldives, raising anticipations of a potential engagement in February.
Vijay Deverakonda has finally addressed the ongoing engagement rumors with Rashmika Mandanna. During a conversation with Lifestyle Asia, the Liger actor clarified that there are no plans for engagement or marriage in February.
“I’m not getting engaged or married in February. It feels like the press just wants to get me married every two years. I hear this rumor every year. They’re just walking around waiting to catch me and get me married,” Vijay stated.
Speculation about a potential marriage announcement arose after the rumored couple’s recent trip to the Maldives, with expectations of an engagement in the second week of February. Despite persistent dating rumors, a source close to the couple previously shared with Hindustan Times that they are not inclined to be open about their relationship.
“They have no intention of making their romance public or taking their relationship to the next level by getting engaged,” the source revealed, emphasizing that both Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are very private individuals. The source continued, “They have kept their romance under wraps, dropping subtle hints that leave people curious about their connection. The notion of them making a grand revelation and getting engaged is unfounded, as it goes against their personalities.”
The insider further disclosed that the idea of getting engaged isn’t on their immediate agenda as they are already cohabiting. “They are living together, content and happy with the current state of their relationship, and don’t feel the urgency to get engaged at this point. Additionally, they are currently focused on their respective work commitments, so there are no imminent plans for an engagement,” the source added.
It’s noteworthy that neither Rashmika nor Vijay has publicly confirmed or denied their relationship. The duo has collaborated on two films, namely “Geetha Govindam” (2018) and “Dear Comrade” (2019).
