Realme is gearing up for a highly anticipated launch event to introduce its newest smartphone series, the Realme 12 Pro 5G and Realme 12 Pro Plus 5G, in India. Set to take place on Monday at 12 PM IST, the event is expected to reveal devices that emphasize premium design and features.
To add to the anticipation of the launch, Realme has appointed the iconic ShahRukh Khan as its brand ambassador. Fans looking forward to the event can watch it live on Realme’s official YouTube channel or through a dedicated live stream offered by the company.
The Realme 12 Pro Plus 5G is anticipated to feature a standout periscope telephoto lens, representing a significant advancement for the company since 2020. According to various media reports, it is likely to include a 64MP sensor, offering 3x optical zoom extendable up to 6x through in-sensor zoom, along with an impressive 120x digital zoom. Realme is positioning this phone as a “portrait expert,” indicating its ability to capture intricate details.
On the other hand, the Realme 12 Pro is expected to feature a new Sony IMX882 sensor, boasting a powerful 50MP primary camera. Notably, this sensor has not been publicly launched yet, suggesting that the Realme 12 Pro might be the first smartphone to incorporate it. While the phone also offers telephoto capabilities, it does not adopt the periscope style seen in its counterpart.
In collaboration with renowned luxury watch designer Ollivier Savéo, Realme has added a unique touch to the design of both phones. They feature a rounded camera assembly with a “polished sunburst dial” and a back panel crafted from vegan leather, giving them a luxurious feel. Available in sophisticated blue and beige colors, the phones are designed to exude elegance.
The Realme 12 Pro+ is anticipated to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, while the Realme 12 Pro might feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. With these impressive specifications and a strong focus on aesthetics, Realme is positioned to make a bold statement in the competitive smartphone market.
