Pune: Royal Enfield unveiled the Himalayan 450motorcycle in India at its Motoverse event in Goa. The new motorcycle is a significant upgrade over its predecessor, the Himalayan 411, and comes with a host of new features, including a new engine, Ride-by-Wire, and two riding modes.

Pricing

The Himalayan 450 is available in three variants: Base, Pass, and Peak. The Base variant is priced at ₹ 2.69 lakh (introductory price), the Pass variant is priced at ₹ 2.74 lakh, and the Peak variant is priced at ₹ 2.79 lakh (Kamet White) or ₹ 2.84 lakh (Hanle Black).

Engine

The Himalayan 450 is powered by a new 452cc single-cylinder engine called the Sherpa 450. The engine is liquid-cooled, has Dual Overhead Cams (DOHC), an aluminium bore, and a slightly short-stroke. The engine makes 40 PS of peak power and 40 Nm of peak torque.
