On January 1, at a Gurgaon hotel, former model Divya Pahuja was murdered. Surveillance footage captured the perpetrators dragging her lifeless body from the hotel to a waiting car.
The remains of ex-model Divya Pahuja, who was fatally shot at a Gurgaon hotel last week, have been located in a canal in Haryana. Authorities revealed that the body was thrown into the Bhakra canal in Punjab and drifted to the adjacent state.
A Gurugram Police team recovered the body in Tohna, Haryana, and shared photographs with Pahuja’s family for identification. The identified body has been dispatched for a post-mortem examination.
“The incident occurred on January 1, and the body was disposed of on January 2,” stated Mukesh Kumar, a senior Gurgaon police officer. “We confirmed the victim’s identity through her tattoos.”
Yesterday, one of the accused, Balraj Gill, admitted to authorities that he had discarded her body in a canal in Punjab. Balraj Gill was apprehended at Kolkata airport the previous evening while attempting to board a flight. During police questioning, he revealed that he disposed of the body of the former model in a canal in Patiala, situated approximately 270 kilometers away from Gurugram, where the alleged murder took place on January 1.

The 27-year-old had been escorted to a hotel room by a group of five men. According to the police, she was shot in the head, purportedly due to her alleged extortion of the hotel owner with compromising pictures.
According to reports, Pahuja supposedly possessed explicit videos of hotel owner Abhijeet Singh on her phone, and he requested her to erase them. However, she declined to do so. The ex-model was allegedly using these photos for blackmail, resulting in Singh and at least two of his associates shooting her. Pahuja’s family strongly refutes these allegations.
Divya Pahuja had been imprisoned over accusations of her participation in the staged killing of her then-boyfriend, Gurugram gangster Sandeep Gadoli, in 2016. She was released on bail in June of the preceding year.
