Both Kaushal brothers twinned in black for the occasion. Taapsee Pannu also opted for a black outfit, enhancing her look with a red bow-like sash. Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba is the sequel to Haseen Dillruba, which premiered exclusively on Netflix in July 2021. The original film starred Vikrant Massey, Taapsee Pannu, and Harshvardhan Rane, and was known for its twisted tale of love and revenge, which received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. In the sequel, Taapsee (Rani) and Vikrant (Rishu) will reprise their roles.
Discussing the challenges of revisiting her role as Rani, Taapsee shared with the media, “Recreating the frenzy around Rani wasn’t particularly challenging performance-wise because, after the first part, I understood what the audience liked about the character and what didn’t. This time, I had the opportunity to make corrections. I approached Part Two (Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba) with more confidence than I did with Part One (Haseen Dillruba). I hope the audience feels the same. This time, the character is darker, edgier, and the stakes are higher.”
