On his son’s birthday, Dhawan shared a heartfelt message on his social media. He mentioned facing restrictions for nearly three months and had to repost the same picture to wish his boy a happy birthday. In his note, he expressed that even though he couldn’t see his son, he writes messages daily, checking on his well-being, sharing about his own life, and keeping his son updated on what’s happening.
On Thursday evening, AK, who has two kids, posted the same thing on his Instagram story. He wrote, “I was truly touched by this post. As a dad, I understand how hard it is not being able to see or meet your child. Stay strong, Shikhar… Millions of us are praying for you to be with your son soon. God bless.”
In October this year, a Delhi court officially granted a divorce to Shikhar Dhawan based on the grounds of “cruelty” from his estranged wife, Aesha Dhawan. After the divorce, Aesha relocated to Australia. However, the court directed her to bring their son back to India for visits, allowing him to stay overnight with Dhawan and his family and spend time during school holidays.
