Image of Ram Lalla Idol: The initial photograph of the deity, shared this morning by Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje, showcases the divine figure as a five-year-old child standing.
Yesterday, the recently crafted idol of Lord Ram was positioned within Ayodhya’s Ram Temple in anticipation of the consecration ceremony scheduled for Monday.
This morning, Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje shared the inaugural image of the idol, revealing the deity portrayed as a standing five-year-old child.
Crafted by the Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj, the 51-inch idol is constructed from black stone.
Initiated on January 12, the rituals for the temple consecration are ongoing. It has been reported that on January 22, PM Modi will conduct the puja for the “Pran Pratistha,” with a team of priests, led by Lakshmikant Dixit, overseeing the main rituals of the ceremony.
Prior to his participation in the Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration, the Prime Minister is meticulously adhering to a set of rules and rituals. Sources have revealed that he is sleeping on the floor with just a blanket and exclusively consuming coconut water.
Encouraging the public to refrain from visiting Ayodhya on January 22, the Prime Minister emphasized the desire to avoid causing any disruptions to Lord Ram. He suggested that everyone is welcome to visit starting January 23. Additionally, he has called upon every Indian to illuminate a diya in their homes on January 22.
The consecration will be witnessed by over 11,000 guests from across the country and abroad who have been specially invited by the temple trust.
