“After Kabir Singh, I Haven’t Received Satisfying Roles,” Says Shahid Kapoor.

Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for a delightful comeback in his upcoming movie ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.’ After portraying intense and dark roles in films like Farzi, Bloody Daddy, and Kabir Singh, Shahid is returning to lighter roles, aiming to reconnect with his audience.

Teaming up for the first time with Kriti Sanon, Shahid assures a heartwarming romantic experience with ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.’ The release of the first song, ‘Laal Peeli Akhiyan,’ featuring Shahid and Kriti, has garnered immense love from fans. Excitement is brewing among movie enthusiasts as they eagerly await the film’s big-screen release on February 9, just before Valentine’s Day.

At the trailer launch of the film, Shahid Kapoor acknowledged the lack of appealing roles coming his way since Kabir Singh. He discussed the challenges of finding scripts that bring something new to the audience and admitted to not encountering intriguing scripts, particularly in the love story genre.

Despite the constant demand for more movies from fans, Shahid explained that he accepted ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ as an opportunity to explore a unique love story. Recognizing the uncertainty of the film’s reception, he chose to take on the project to present a fresh perspective in the realm of love stories.

Considering Shahid’s career trajectory, he observed that his intense movies have been more successful, while many of his love stories, despite having good content and storylines, failed at the box office. The exceptions to this trend are Vivah, Kabir Singh, and ‘Jab We Met,’ which Shahid acknowledged as also having intense elements.

The fate of Shahid’s love stories at the box office remains uncertain, and only time will reveal if ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ breaks the pattern. In addition to this, Shahid is actively engaged in filming an intense and dark thriller titled ‘Deva,’ directed by Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews.
