The complainant alleges that in the video, Ranbir Kapoor poured liquor on a cake, set it on fire, and exclaimed “Jai Mata Di.” Ranbir’s wife, actor Alia Bhatt, was also present during the Christmas celebration, as seen in the video.

Sanjay Tiwari, who lodged the complaint at Ghatkopar police station with legal representation from lawyers Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra, alleged that the actor “was observed pouring alcohol on the cake and igniting it while chanting Jai Mata Di.” As of now, no First Information Report (FIR) has been filed in connection with the incident.

The complaint contends that in Hinduism, the fire god is traditionally invoked before other deities. However, it asserts that Ranbir Kapoor and his family intentionally employed intoxicants during their celebration of a different religious festival, while also chanting Jai Mata Di,” as stated in the complaint.

The footage captures moments from the yearly Christmas brunch organized by Kunal Kapoor, attended by Ranbir, Alia, and their daughter Raha. Additionally, the couple partook in a cozy Christmas get-together at Alia’s mother Soni Razdan’s residence. Alia shared pictures on her post, expressing gratitude, “Grateful for this wonderful group… thankful for so much… Merry Merry Christmas & always happy, ” accompanied by a Christmas tree and a black heart emoji.
