The 69th Filmfare Awards took place recently in Gujarat, marking the beginning of Bollywood’s award season. Power couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were the big winners, with Alia earning the Best Actress award for her role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Ranbir bagging the Best Actor award for his performance in Animal. Animal secured six awards overall, while Vidhu Vino Chopra’s 12th Fail claimed significant prizes like Best Film and Best Director. Vikrant Massey scooped the Best Actor award in the Critics category for 12th Fail, while Rani Mukherji and Shefali Shah shared the Best Actress (Critics) award. Vicky Kaushal, who was nominated for Best Actor (Critics), won Best Supporting Actor for Dunki. David Dhawan received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Aditya Rawal and Alizeh Agnihotri won Best Debut (Male) and Best Debut (Female) respectively for their roles in Faraaz and Farrey.
